In light of the current impact COVID-19 has caused globally and the progress of the pandemic, it is vital that we continue to take appropriate actions to ensure the continued safety of our client’s bookings and our business. No businesses anticipated or prepared for a situation of this nature and as such there are no standard industry terms and conditions which are relevant for such a crisis.
When making a booking, a deposit is requested in order to secure the booking. Part of this payment is for our services provided and remaining funds gets paid over to the property to secure the booking. In the event of a booking being cancelled due to the Coronavirus, the expectation is that all clients, especially those travelling internationally should have secured travel insurance in place as recommended on our documentation, which would cover you in these unforeseen circumstances.
For our local clients living in South Africa, we would like to request that you help us to preserve the tourism industry by postponing your travels to a later stage, when travelled is allowed again – We do believe you will need a break from home after this. In the event that a postponement is absolutely impossible, we would have to contact the property on your behalf to enquire what the respective terms and conditions are applicable to your booking. Where a property is able to offer a refund on your booking, BushBreaks will assist you with this refund process.

The safety of our clients is of paramount importance. The Tourism industry has put together strict health and safety protocols for all hotels and lodges to implement for the safety of their staff and guests. This process has been co-ordinated by TBCSA
