• Children under 2 years cannot be accommodated at the lodge - no camp cots available.
• Children between the ages of 2 - 5 years stay free when sharing with two adults, meals are charged on consumption.
• Subject to availability of suitable accommodation, a maximum of two children between the ages of 6 - 11 years may share a room with 2 adults.
• Children 6 – 11 years will pay 50% of the adult rate if sharing with 2 adults.
• Where a child shares with 1 adult the double rate applies.
• Children 12 years and over will pay full adult rate and will be accommodated in their own room.
• Babysitting facilities are available at the lodge at an additional cost, charged by the hour.

• Children aged from 4 to 6 years will be permitted on a children’s game drive after breakfast, subject to availability.
• The game drive will be for 1 hour and 30 minutes and will be conducted on the Main Road close to the lodge. They will learn about trees, insects & tracks. There is an additional charge of R 200 per vehicle. (Subject to change)
• The children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Wherever possible families with children will be accommodated on separate game drives.
• Parental or adult supervision will be pre-requisite when children 7-12 years accompany parents on normal game drives.
• Children under 7 years will not be permitted on normal game drives.
• Unless otherwise stated, all rates listed are based on a minimum 2 night stay. Surcharges may apply for a 1 night booking.
• Rates quoted are only applicable to South African Residents. Special discounted rates for International Residents are available on request.
• Rates exclude a Conservation Levy of R 170 per adult per night / R 85 per child (6 - 11 years) per night, which will be added to the invoice for the accommodation at the time of booking. (Subject to change).
• Scheduled transfers from the car park are at 12h00, 13h00 and 15h00, which are free of charge.
• Should these times not be convenient, a transfer can be arranged at an additional fee.
• Please expect up to an hours wait if you arrive outside of scheduled departure pick up times with no prior notice given to the Lodge.

Bongani Mountain Lodge is situated in the 8000-hectare (19 800-acre) Mthethomusha Game Reserve, bordering the world-famous Kruger National Park in South Africa. Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo walk ancient paths once used by the San (Bushman) people. Over 250 San rock art paintings, estimated to be 1 500-years-old, are found in the Reserve - the greatest concentration of rock art per square metre on earth.

From Johannesburg
From Johannesburg take the N4 towards Nelspruit
Drive straight past Nelspruit towards Malelane/Komatipoort keeping on the N4
About 30km outside Nelspruit you will find an area with fruit vendors to your right- hand side. Take the ‘Matsulu’ turn off to your left.
Approximately 80m after the turn off, take the Bongani Mountain Lodge turn off (paved) to your left. You will pass a dome building on your left and a pre-school on your right.
Keep on this sand road for 7km and you will arrive at the Mthethomusha Game Reserve.
You will need to sign in at the security gate.
Drive 1km down to the guest parking & Welcome Centre.
There you will leave your vehicle and be collected by a game vehicle. The drive up to the lodge is 13km and will take approx 30minutes.

From our carpark you will be picked up by our rangers in an open 4x4 safari vehicle and brought up to the Lodge. (approx. 35 minutes)
