About Tangala Safari Camp
Nestled deep in the heart of the African wilderness, Tangala Safari Camp offers an intimate, eco-conscious safari experience in a truly rustic, authentic camp style. Completely off the grid, the camp is powered entirely by solar energy, embracing sustainability while providing a genuine back-to-nature experience.
A SIMPLE, NATURAL RETREAT
Tangala embraces a back-to-basics approach, where the focus is on the sights, sounds, and serenity of the bush. While there is no air-conditioning or high-powered electrical appliances, each room is equipped with a standing fan for comfort. Gas geysers provide hot water for showers, and there is enough solar power to charge phones, cameras, and laptops.
UNPLUG & EMBRACE THE WILD
To truly immerse yourself in the safari experience, Wi-Fi is only available in the main areas.
Guests are encouraged to disconnect from technology and embrace the natural rhythm of the bush – where the crackling of a fire, the calls of nocturnal wildlife, and breathtaking sunsets take center stage.
SUSTAINABILITY
At Tangala Safari Camp, making a difference is what they believe – both for the environment and the wildlife that calls it home. Their commitment to sustainability is at the heart of everything they do. Completely off the grid, the camp is powered by renewable solar energy from their dedicated solar farm. Even the water is drawn from a borehole, sustainably pumped using solar power.
GIVING BACK
Beyond sustainability, Tangala plays an active role in rhino conservation. As these majestic creatures face growing threats, they proudly contribute monthly to initiatives that protect and preserve rhino populations in the area. A stay at Tangala, is not just embarking on an unforgettable safari – it means becoming part of a legacy of care for the environment and its incredible wildlife.
